Arrival

After having left the house at 07.30am I finally arrived at 7pm local time(1am Amsterdam). After quickly sweeping through migration and luggage control I received my first Peruvian impression; A security guard falling deeply asleep next to you, mouth widenopen while you are waiting for your American travel companion. Ronald arrived 1,5 hour later and soon we realized that it was not possible to withdraw soles or dollars, luckily he had American dollars. 

On our way to our cab we realized that the hostel we booked was in the most dangerous zone of Lima (Comas) and it was highly recommended by the cab driver to find another place to stay. After a long drive and a quick snatch at an ATM( offering maestro card payments), we arrived at our hostel where we paid the major price of 50 dollars for a night, including breakfast, excluding cab drive. Realistic as we are we agreed that this would never happen again (Day 2).

To end the day well, we went to a bar & grill around the corner, ate a fat burger and had some coronas, joking about what just happened.
