Day 4

Our day started off pretty early in the morning. We met up with our group and walked to the docks were we took a small boat to the ballastas Island. During the boat ride we managed to see birds flying together in flocks really low to the ocean water. We first stopped to view some lines on a mountain, that had been there for quite some time. The lines depicted what seemed to look like a chandelier. We proceeded on to the Ballatas Island where we saw thousands of birds flying around or perched on the island . We were also able to see penguins who were native to the region, along with sea lions and different species of birds. Once we were finished with the boat tour we headed back to our hostel and collected our stuff to head out to the national reserve were we got to see where the desert meets the ocean . It was an extremely beautiful view and we were able to see the sands different colors. After this we continued on to the desert oasis. Where we were picked up by buggies which transported us to the dunes. It was a wild ride as we bounced and were lifted from our seats, almost like a roller coaster. Once at the dunes we got to sand board down the slopes of sand. I was a little afraid at first because me and highest don’t get along, but once I saw Julien go I summoned up the courage to go down as well. The slopes were fun and it gave us a thrill . After the slopes we got to watch the sunset over the desert, it was truly a sight to see. To end our desert trip we got to see an oasis.
