6 juni 2018 - Pisco, Peru

Day two: We started the day off with our free breakfast complimentary from the hostel we stayed at . Then afterwards we proceeded to gather our stuff up and move on. We stopped by a tourist information center where we were helped out by a guy who was originally from Venezuela. He was very helpful and helped us book a bus that will take us all the way to Bolivia making stops along other cities in Peru. After booking we went to check out the shore from the cliffs of Miraflores after having eaten some typical lomo fino(Peruvian cow). On our way Julien was stopped by a German man who told him that he had been robbed of everything and asked if he could give him money. As I stood there lost having no clue what they were saying because I don’t speak German, i could tell the man was asking for money (which he was). At the end Julien pointed him out to the tourist information center we were just at in hopes that they could provide him with the information or help he needed. We then proceeded to view the shore from the cliff and took in a nice and relaxing pause. Afterwards we walked (25 min with our heavy backpacks on our backs) to our next hostel were we were finally able to lay in bed and relax for a bit. Our next visit after was to the Centro Historico of Peru. On our way there the Uber driver noticed that we were foreigners and asked where we were from and what brought us to Peru. He then proceeded to caution us not to take out a lot of money if and when we had to pay for something. He said it was dangerous where we were going and that we didn’t want to find out what could happen to us if we got robbed. We reached our stop and thanked him for his advice as he dropped us off. Once at our destination we walked to where the governors palace was but unfortunately the place was all gated and guarded by police so we could only take pictures from afar. As we walked we did notice there was a lot of police in the area just hanging out in groups with riot gear. We weren’t really sure what was going on so we left back to our hostel. Once we got back to our hostel we decided to go to the super market so that we could make our own food for dinner. We bought what we needed and went straight into the kitchen to prepare the food. Julien took care of all the hard stuff (cooking the chicken and making the eggs) and left me in charge of the easy stuff (cutting up the veggies😏). We ate our food and went back into our room where we just chilled until 9. Still exhausted and not fully recovered from our flights we called it a night at 9 p.m. overall the day was good as we got to have our first day of exploring Peru.
