Day 5

Day 5: We started the day by meeting up with some people we met last night and had breakfast. Almost all of the travellers left after 1 night in Huacachina and went to the wine tasting in Ica, which was very enthusiastic and tasty! After a tour and a few beverages we moved on to the famous nazca lines, still unexplained for but most likely used as a tribute to pray for rain since the nazca area is extremely dry. We had dinner in Nazca before moving on to the overnight bus towards Arequipa, which takes about 10 hours. We arrived at 5am, had breakfast at 7 and slept at 8.30. So far this was the most exhausting day due to the amount of travelling, plus the fact that Arequipa lies at around 2300m altitude.
